Analyzing images.

On this image we can see a multinational conference or event. The flags on the roof represent the cultural diversity that is present on this conference of students. We can say that is a students coference because the ballons on the bottom of the image that represent youth and vitality. The caption concern about the multi cultural presence on the actual education methods that meet students from every culture and country and expose every principle and belief of its specific culture and origin. This coference looks very interesting because this same principle, everyone attending this meeting can learn about the multi-cultural society that today we live. I think there is a little difference between the image and the universities on my country because the presence of multi cultural instances are not very common.

Finaly, about the customs and traditions topic, we can say that in Chile and in other Latin-American countries the manners fromother countries, specially the most developed are imitated because the tradition and the status that this customs can give toa country specially to those countries in procces of development. This countries that inspire this smallest culture are mainly the European countries and highlighting the english speaking countries.

Dr Jeckyll & Mr Hyde - The damned lyrics

I'm normal outside, he's evil inside
I'm Dr. Jekyll and he's Mr Hyde
I try to be true, he tries to be cruel
I'll hold you gently but he'll smother you
My clothes will impress you
And my claws will undress you
I'm normal outside, he's evil inside
I'm Dr. Jekyll and he's Mr Hyde
I want what's right
He walks in the night
Searching for sin in his
Decadent life
My charms will beguile you
And my arms will defile you
Me, I'm on the side of the angels
But the Devil is my best friend
Sin is a way of life
Saints are for suckers
Welcome to the underworld
I start where nightmares end
Two for the price of one
Two, for the price of one [unverified]
I'm normal outside, he's evil inside
I'm Dr. Jekyll and he's Mr Hyde
I try to be true, he tries to be cruel
I'll hold you gently but he'll smother you
My clothes will impress you
And my claws will undress you

Social skills and Homeschooling myths and realities.

j) The myth that homeschooling inhibits the development of socialization skills was born out of a misconception of what it's like to homeschool. They do not study all day, they learn in and out of their homes, and participate in a lot of activities.

Dr Moore says that is a myth that children need to be around many other youngsters in order to socialize, quite the contrary, they do not respond well to large groups. They are best socialized by parents.

This is supported by Dr.Patricia Lines, she adds that children that go to school are never alone and their after-school lives are packed full of activities, instead of homeschooling kids that have time for their own, to discover what they love to do.

k) That they have problems with developing socialization skills. They break the stereotype using empirically proven facts, and using information that comes from people trained in these areas, like Dr. Moore and Dr. Lines.

2nd part:

(a) Jack London is writing about a kind of drinker with strange characteristics, called John Barleycorn.

(b) The word is excessivist

(c) Like a stupid and unimaginative man, with a numbly walk, who falls frequently, who sees strange things, such as pink elephants, when he is totally drunken.

(d) He is different in the way that the imaginative drinker is drunken, but only his brain, not his body. Then, the imaginative one does not fall, does not bubble and does not stagger.

(e) The only truth for him is death, he only knows he will dead.

(f) It is written in that way to put enphasis in the idea.

(i) The price for the imaginative drinker is hard to him. He sees a cruel side of life, with a dark sight and a depressed mind. Its ideas are bad when they must be good, for him, life is a cheat. However, it is not all, also he seems to only take in the worst sides of people. Finally and the most important thing, the imaginative drinker pays his price in the way that he knows and realices that he may anticipate the day of his dead.

Rationale for my debate topic.

My debate objective was to develop a point of view about the alternative medicine and if this discipline pose a threat to the public health, my group got the against point of view. I think that this topic is very important because it helps people to know if using any alternative medicine procces is convenient as using traditional medicine methods for cure diseases. The information that we used on our debate preparaton was get mainly from personal experience or testimonies of known people as my classmate Rodrigo Breguel or our sports teacher Jose Luis Aracena.

The concept of beauty

I think that the concept of beauty depends absolutely on the cultural and social point of view, mainly because of the stereotypes that the society imposes on people. Despite the beauty agreements among the different societies, I completely agree with the quote that sais "The beauty is in the eye of the beholder" because i really think that the beauty perception depends absolutely of the perspective and the point of view of who present their opinion. This concept is called subjectivity that give to the subject the posibility to state his own opinions but sometimes the subjectivity is affected and displaced by the socially imposed opinions shown for example in the massive comunication media. Now on days, their exist a lot of discrimination of the people that is considered ugly by the social beauty concept.

People just considered the physical aspects to define someone as beautifull or ugly, I think that is not a precise method for classify people because it creates a baseless discrimination among different people with different opinions or points of view.
